To me, this is one of the most gorgeous songs in the world. It is called ‘The Worlds Meet’ and it is by Cirque du Soleil (specifically, the singers are: Johanna Lillvik and Kevin Faraci.), from the show ‘Zed’, which I think is only performed in Tokyo.

So. I’m going to talk about the strange beauty of bad ballet photos. I guess they’re not necessarily bad photos, per se, it’s just that the timing didn’t seem to work out just the way the photographer wanted it to. Take this picture of Olesia Novikova as an example.
It’s beautiful, yet it seems she’s just coming out of her grand jete, instead of being in the middle of it… and yet, she is still so stretched out and… strangely photogenic.
Hm. Interesting. :) At least, to me it is. Don’t comment if it isn’t to you. :)

In regards to the picture that is afterwards- it’s not like I think I can jump like her, it’s that I’m TRYING to jump like her… haha… even though I’m not a girl. Anyways, the picture is of Natalia Osipova of the Bolshoi (one of the best Kitri’s out there, and judging by my name I’m sure you can see I like Kitri!!) and the video is of me, obviously. Also… I know I’m not very turned out in the preparation but WHATEVER! :) Right now I could ALMOST care less, except that I’m putting this video out into the world of the Internet… blah. Anyways. I agree! OMG… I have almost cried while watching this video several times. And yes her technique is hot :P Her feet are insane! She’s just not human, I’ve decided. She’s some sort of deity in the form of a ballerina sent to us to inspire us all! That makes sense, doesn’t it?!
I swear, that if the YouTube people got paid a dollar every time I watched a ballet video, they would be even more rich than they are now. Is YouTube owned by Google now? I just can’t keep track of these things!
Anyways my point is… that I am addicted to ballet on YouTube! Simply because, I suppose, I’m not rich enough to go see ballets every other night… but I am a ballet dancer and you’d think I’d get my fill of ballet just from doing it, or watching my classmates or things like that. But that’s not how it works! I’m just… obsessed. And I’m okay with it!
Oh and here’s an interesting fact: there are only 2 German dancers in the Stuttgart Ballet company! Isn’t that intriguing? I think so.

Soo I’m really bored, and not knowing what to do since I’ve just started Tumblr and tis sort of confusing to me… lol. Anyways today is my second last day of Spring Break and then I have to go back… to… school… BACDHBFSKNLVFSHEJKLH! Kill me! Except not literally! Because going back to school means seeing the people who piss me off, the people who never leave me alone… and going to the classes I hate.
BUT… AHEM…
Going back to school ALSO means beginning ballet classes, and rehearsals for shows, and so I’m excited for the rehearsals and thrilled for the shows. ACK! I’m torn between staying home and flying back to school!
